A few weeks ago, the attention of many regional media was riveted on the Old Castle in Grodno.

On 4th of March 4 a 12-ton dome was installed on the entrance tower, which before that, for several months, the capital's craftsmen were lined with tinned copper. Today it was complemented by a new decorative element - a four-meter detail resembling a spire.

It was sheathed using the same technology of double horizontal and vertical folds, in which the seams are tight. It took a little more than a week. But the current transformation of the dome is not yet final. According Sergei Bucha, construction manager, the final element of the dome will be a spire made of stainless steel and copper more than four meters high, some of which will be covered with gold. Its manufacture is carried out by specialists of Belrestavratsiya OJSC.
