On September 15 a noble ball in honor of the 220th anniversary of Adam Mickiewicz was held in the house-museum of the poet in Novogrudok.
Every visitor of the House-Museum of Adam Mickiewicz was able not only to see the exhibition, but also to dip into the epoch of the XIX century and feel the atmosphere of the time, to take part in salon games, and, of course, learn to dance ballroom dances.
The members of Vitebsk’s cultural and historical reenactment club “Northern tower” and Minsk’s dance school "Capital" come to Novogrudok.
Traditional noble ball started with the Polonaise. The programme of the event was rich and interesting. The dance part of the ball was accompanied by live music played by the musician from Vitebsk Elena Lavrenova.
The guests were also offered to participate in a literary and musical salon, where they were able to hear the works of the Philomath Society and the Filaret Association.
The guests of the event played a game "Living pictures", learned about new types of waltz, and had dancing classes. That's what the audience liked most of all. They admitted that it was not so easy for them, but they liked it very much.
Our countrymen the vocal group "Svityazyanka” also performed for the guests
At the end of the ball everyone was invited on an exciting excursion to the museum-estate and had the opportunity to take a picture.
